Thought Overflow

It’s fun to blog, it really is. It’s fun when you have something to write about…something interesting that others would enjoy reading, something that you’d enjoy writing about. Nothing gives more pleasure to a blogger than getting positive comments (or any comments at all, for that matter) on something he (or she) wrote. It means that what we’re writing has been read. It means that someone spent his valuable time thinking about what you wrote, and then some more time on writing a comment.

But every once in a while, it’s fun to have nothing to blog about. It’s fun to just sit at the desk, stare at the screen, hit the keys on this wonderful keyboard (HP laptops have the best keyboards, by the way) and see the text appear in WordPress’s dashboard in that sexy font they use in the text box. It’s fun to have nothing important to write about, but just to feel the keys getting depressed beneath your fingers, and listen to the soft clicks they make.

Maybe this is how life should be. Every once in a while, maybe we should take time out to just sit and do nothing. Stop worrying about everything (or anything) and sit and stare at the sky and identify shapes in the clouds. Or maybe just lie in bed and listen to music. When was the last time you did something just like that?
