Back to School
Posted on 19 Feb 2007 under Journal/Life Updates
Technically, yes, I’m in college, not school. However, calling it school is not completely inappropriate, and it gives us (the students) a little bit of comic relief, based on what we think of the way they treat us. And so, back to school tomorrow. What have I been up to these 2 weeks of holidays? Not much.
I had plans of catching up on a subject that’s been bothering me in college, and learning PHP (I even borrowed a thick book from the library for this). However, college has just been so tiring that all I wanted to do was laze, at least for the first week. Expectedly, the first week went according to plan
. However, the thing is, when you have holidays, it makes you available not only for yourself, but also for your family. To put it simply, I’ve been running around being my mum’s chauffeur, my sister’s bank agent/postman, etc etc, and conssequently, have not proceeded very far along my plan of studying
. I did, however, start on the PHP book, and have so far finished the chapters on CSS, XHTML Basics and JavaScript Basics (If these words don’t mean a thing to you, you don’t own a website, do you?
). And so, we’ve (or rather, I’ve) reached the end of my holidays. Fun-wise, they weren’t a complete waste of time:
- Watched a couple of movies in the cinema.
- Got back in touch with a couple of friends from school.
- Made new friends online.
- Got my relaxation.
- Got my scooter serviced.

My 1 week vacation just started. I have to go to Washington D.C. on school business for a day.(im in NY) and I have mock Trial meetings (its a team). Plus I have to look for colleges. Yup, work never gets over.
And with all the work to do, what am i doing right now. Reading your blog.
Well, it’s good to know that at least someone I know is ‘properly utilizing’ their holidays
Ya, About that.
Well, I’ve played games for the first three days. The Mock trial meeting was a blast, apparently no one showed up and it was me, this girl and her friend (also my friend) at her house. We just talked random stuff, and pretty much what we could have done in 30 mins, we did it in about 3 hours
One thing productive will be going to DC Trip tomorrow which I’m hoping will enhance my learning experience to become a lawyer :P. We’re going to a Supreme Court hearing.
So ya, you sure can call that productive.
Heck, thats true, all the plans you make for holidays never go as planned (except for sleeping all day plans)
Anyways, we have a saying
I have added a little to it,
Sahil, that sounds interesting! Let me know how it went.
Mohammed, that’s true… I’ve really become a free chauffeur.
Oh Tidi, lets change places - I’d be sooo relaxed in school…
I know…
I’d love to go back to school too…
College is a drag.
But I know that when I start working, I’ll probably say “I’d love to go back to college… work’s a drag”
wow i wish i had a two week break.
Doesn’t everyone?
I’m already wishing I had another 2 week break
Yo dude,
Could you do me a favor and change my link in your blogroll to the new one. I changed my domain so I just wanted to update you. Thanks
