Upgrades
Posted on 13 Feb 2007 under Site Designing
So I’ve finally upgraded the blog to Wordpress 2.1 …I’ve been meaning to do it for quite some time, but was hesitating because loads of themes and plugins are not compatible with 2.1 due to all the big changes they made in the code. But as you can see, everything’s working just fine… I’ve not activated a couple of plugins which I decided I’m better off without. I’ve also added a new plugin (and am likely to add some more plugins later)… I’ve also been reading a few tips on how to improve my blog, and hopefully you will like it some more…
Anyway, about the plugin I installed today… it allows you to subscribe to the comments of any post, i.e. you will be sent an email whenever anyone comments on a post to which you have subscribed. (Note that once an email is sent to you, you will not be sent another e-mail for the same post even if there have been more than oneĀ comments, so don’t worry about your inbox being spammed). Secondly, it’s always possible to manage your subscriptions and unsubscribe to posts. The plugin is called “Subscribe To Comments (ver 2.1)” by Mark Jaquith.
Cheers to a new version… here’s hoping the blog gets more fun.

Question, which plug-in did you use for those smiley face on top of posts?
Smiley face on top of the posts?
If you’re talking about the Yin-Yang sign, that’s not a plugin… that’s a part of the theme (after I modified it, of course).
If you’re talking about the monster smiley face, that’s a plugin called “WP_MonsterID”. It’s a very fun plugin. Give it a try.
