Tight/Boot-cut jeans

Posted on 07 Apr 2006 under Humour, Life

I bought me one of them really tight “boot-cut” jeans. Don’t get fooled by the name though, it’s just a fancy name to make guys believe they’re not wearing those girly “bell-bottomed” jeans… as for me, I don’t really know why I bought them… I liked the colour, and unfortunately the shop didn’t have the same colour in “normal” jeans, so I didn’t have a choice. When I wore the pair in the trial room, they seemed kinda tight, but the shop-owner (so friendly and wise) assured me that jeans spread out the more you wear them… so I thought to myself, why not?

Anyway, I wore them for the first time the other day (after having washed them first, that is), and yep, they were still feeling a little tight and the moment I sat on my scooter (read : noble steed whose silencer passionately kisses the road on every speed-breaker), I felt the blasted fabric tighten itself even more around the two important (particularly to my wife… and to-be kids) parts of my body… just perfect.

I somehow survived the rest of the day… though I’m perfectly sure people in college must have wondered why I was trying to rip my jeans off in class the whole day. I must say, though, that it felt rather liberating when I came home and finally changed into my (thankfully more considerate) shorts.

I wonder though, why people like to put themselves through so much pain and risk impotency wearing these kinda jeans… to be fair though, I’m going to be one of them… I paid good money for these jeans, and for Pete’s sake (whoever that may be), I shall wear them! Forgive me, children, if I never have you.

  1. you must be the first person who buys something just because you like it’s colour !

Never judge a pair of jeans by its colour …

best of luck with your new expensive chastity belt.
p.s. – don’t let your kids read this blog, they’re going to hate you for this :D

  2. Hmmm…..funny, but i must say; its never too late to alter pants, if you want kids that badly. Well we should stop with the wife part actually, with those pants giving you such super-human strength, you won’t get to kids……:P

  3. Well I think these jeans look better on some men than other types of jeans. If you get the right ones they can feel super comfortable even though their tight. Doubt their good for your little swimmers though as the heats’s gonna boil them!

  4. right…i’d have liked to see your condition in those jeans, trying to “rip them off” lol…but chill neway, you’ll get the hang of “bell-bottoms” muwahahaha

  5. do u think tht maybe u could take a picture of u in those jeans .. sounds pretty funny

  6. Very stylish, if somewhat constricting. Personally I prefer more “freedom” in my trousers…

  7. mmm, I also prefer to be more comfortable, something not so tight =P.

  8. Poor (future) kids. :) But this was written a couple of years ago now so have they arrived? There’s no need to put yourself through such torture you can still look good without ripping yourself in two.

  9. @Rik : Haha, no… I’m only 21. I won’t have kids for a long, long time… :D (I hope)

  10. It won’t be as comfortable as regular jeans, but they would look better.
go ahead, wear it to school!

  11. Tight fitting Jeans have always been uncomfortable. But as long as you like the look I guess its quite alright. I mean , women who wear long 6 inch heels dont really find it too comfortable do they? So if you like the look it gives you..I say wear it!

  12. I stopped wearing those jeans. They really got too damn tight. :P

  13. Tight jeans has never been my type. I usually wear jeans for casual wear. And when I’m in casual I want to be as comfortable as possible. Tight jeans doesn’t help me with that.

  14. I think I quite agree with you there. Unfortunately, I had ONE more tight-jeans fiasco, but I have now learnt my lesson! :D

  15. Tight jeans suck. I used them for sometime but they were really annoying. Got rid of them years ago. Since jeans are a big part of my wardrobe and don’t want those pants there.

  16. Tight jeans never did catch up with the latest fashion. Simply because it doesn’t belong to the category of fashion. It was really a bad concept.

  17. Yes, If you do have a good figure I guess Tight jeans would be the way to flaunt it, although most boot cut jeans appear to be uncomfortable you get some jeans which aren’t that uncomfortable, and I think thats amazing!

  18. Like most of the other comments I prefer casual jeans. I see a few blokes with tight jeans and it does make me wonder why.

I think they should be kept for the ladies, they seem to work better on them ;)

  19. I agree.

  20. Tight jeans are really annoying. Besides it’s not the best option for a long day. And now I think the trend is dying too.

  21. Excellent article. I feel tight jeans are old days now. There are so many new styles coming out.

  22. I am going to be including this to my listing of book marks.

  23. @Jackon:
In that case, I hope you come back more often and read the new posts as well.

  24. I’ve got to let you know, you’re right on. I landed on your site from someone else’s site and am heavily interested in this category and learning about this. Do you mind if I refer to this blog from my fan page?

  25. No, I don’t. Go right ahead.

  26. I appreciate the time you put in this work or in this post. Although you have unique ideas, I really cannot agree with them. I’m sure there are better ways to walk through this bad situation. Not trying to flame or troll or anything .

  27. Sure.
